Michael Staniforth

Michael Staniforth was an accomplished British stage actor and appeared in the original casting of Starlight Express, Andrew Lloyd-Webber's hit musical. He is best remembered for starring as Timothy Claypole in the BBC children's comedy program, Rentaghost .

Michael and I were close friends over many years, even if we lived on opposite sides of the big pond . . . However, we did occasionally visit each other at our respective countries. Many times he would come see me and my remote mountain top in order to have the peace to write music.
